Rambling running experiences from southern New Hampshire with a focus towards road, trail, mountain, relay, track, snowshoe, triathlon, adventure, hiking or anything else that interests me....hey look, a chicken.
27 degrees with 15+mph winds at dusk just didn't do it for me today. Has anyone seen spring and is it due back anytime soon? This is getting ridiculous. My mistake, I should have taken my rest day today. Live and learn.
A little less windy in Central Park this morning, but dark and about the same temperature ... ugh. But, the flowers are starting to push through the ground, and the days are getting longer, spring is inevitable. Good luck in the 20 miler next weekend. - Douglas
Yesterday afternoon, I ran through Mine Falls for the first time since early November. It was still pretty windy (no leaves yet to block the breeze) but most of the trails were clear. There were a couple of icy spots and I almost wiped out on one of them. It would have been pretty funny to see - a tall, dorky guy contorting himself like mad to keep from landing on his ass - but there was no one around.

Yes, someday it'll be spring, or as we like to call it in New Hampshire: summer.
